PIYE
Polish-Israeli Youth Exchange-PIYE 2019
Polish-Israeli Youth Exchange (PIYE) is the oldest program of the POLIN Museum and the Jewish Historical Institute Association of Poland. It is dedicated to young people from Poland and Israel (up to 35 years of age) who are active in non-governmental organizations, institutions related to culture and education, are young professionals interested in the intercultural subjects or history of Polish-Jewish relations and dialogue. The aim of the program will be to strengthen the skills of participants, familiarise them with best practices and help in developing ideas for projects whose starting point will be interculturalism or the history of Polish-Jewish relations.
The program
The program is divided into two parts:
- the first one will take place in Poland on 9-13 July 2019
- the second one in Israel on 23-27 September 2019.
While in Poland, the participants will get acquainted with the POLIN Museum core exhibition and the temporary exhibition, they will tour the neighborhood, i.e. the Muranów quarter, take part in leadership workshop and in meetings with representatives of organizations and institutions engaged in multiculturalism and Polish-Jewish dialogue. The program in Israel also involves participation in workshops and meetings with representatives of various institutions. Each part will last whole five working days.

Participation cost
The organizer covers the cost of accommodation, board and up to 700 PLN reimbursement of the airfare from Israel to Poland and back. We do not reimburse the cost of local and domestic transport. The participants are also responsible for covering the insurance cost.
Program’s schedule in Israel
- Filling out the submission form – no later than 22 April.
- Between 23 and 27 April we shall contact the shortlisted candidates and invite them for interviews.
- The interviews will take place between 29 April and 4 May at the Polish in Tel Aviv at some at a location chosen by the organizer.
